This extremely elegant Queen Anne style writing desk, dates from the 1930's, having been given a complete new makeover, it is now a unique conversation piece.
The wonderful concave drawer fronts and the drop flap writing surface have been decorated with Christian Lacroix for Designer Guild "Butterfly Parade" wallpaper. The colourful decoupage contrasts superbly with the newly ebonised finish. The fitted interior is also finished in the same design. The three concave drawers have the original solid brass handles, they have been refinished with silver paint. The bureau stands on elegant shell carved cabriole legs.
